Alex Tudor (England):

In New Zealand’s tour of England back in 1999, England unearthed an impressive player in Alex Tudor. In the first test of the tour, the hosts were bundled out for just 126 in their first innings but bounced back to dismiss the Black Caps for 107 giving themselves a target of just 211.

Alex Stewart who opened the chase for England lost his wicket early in the innings but late in the day as Tudor was given the responsibilities of a night-watchman. The quickie obliged well and managed to stay until the end of the chase only to stranded at an unbeaten 99  in what is one of the best innings in a chase.
