This time in India, South Africa registered yet another 400-run team total in ODI cricket. While batting first at Wankhede, the Proteas went to score 438 for four on 25 October 2015. Owing to the highest team score in ODI cricket, South African made it to the top ten on three occasions.

Known for his fantastic run against India, wicketkeeper-batsman Quinton de Kock smashed a fine hundred before being named as the Player of Match.

Moreover, Faf du Plessis, who retired hurt scored sublime 133 runs.

Interestingly, the then skipper AB de Villiers played a 61-ball blinder to score 119 runs. His quickfire innings was laced with 11 sixes and three fours.

In response to the highest total in ODI cricket, Rohit Sharma and Ajinkya Rahane smashed fifty each as other batters struggled to deliver the punch.

On a true batting surface like iconic Wankhede, South Africa clinched the game by 214 runs as India was folded out on 224 runs in 36 overs.
