So far, in the ODI cricket, India managed to post 400-plus total on five occasions. To be precise, India’s highest team score in ODI cricket came against the Windies at Indore on 08 December 2011.

The hosts posted the total of 418 for five with the help of flamboyant opener Virender Sehwag, who scored 219 off 149 deliveries. His marathon innings was laced with 25 fours and seven sixes.

On the other side, the significant additional contribution came from Gautam Gambhir (67) and Suresh Raina (55).

While crumbling under pressure, the Windies were bundled out on 265 runs. However, wicketkeeper-batsman Dinesh Ramdin managed to score run-a-ball 96.
