New Zealand bounced back strongly in the T20I series against the Men in Blue after a 40 runs victory at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot. It was an impressive performance by the visitors who rode on a brilliant century from Colin Munro which helped them post a mammoth 196 on the board. Later on, it was a fine performance by the bowlers to restrict India to 156.

Following the victory, Kiwis middle order batsman Ross Taylor who hasn’t been part of the playing XI in the first two encounters took to his Instagram handle and shared a picture of himself sitting in front of a tailoring shop with the shutter of the shop closed. He also wrote a funny message for Virender Sehwag on that picture which read, “@virendersehwag #Rajkotmein match k baad, #darji (Tailor) Ki dukaan band. Agli silai #Trivandrum mein hogi… Zaroor Aana. #India #IndvNZ”.

Sehwag was very impressed with the Hindi skills of Taylor and was very quick to respond that whether Taylor is eligible for an Aadhar Card. It was written in a sarcastic note, but the Aadhar Authority also gave a reply. Sehwag wrote, “Highly impressed by you @RossLTaylor . @UIDAI , can he be eligible for an Aadhaar Card for such wonderful Hindi skills.”

The reply came from the official twitter handle of Aadhar where they wrote that language is no bar but what matter is where the person resides. “Language no bar. Resident status is what matters,” they wrote.

Meanwhile, the Kiwis will be excited with the prospect of winning their first ever bilateral series in India. Though it won’t be easy, T20I is the format where they can genuinely beat India in a series. New Zealand needs to win the decider to maintain their numero uno status in ICC T20I Rankings while a victory for the Men in Blue will see their arch-rivals Pakistan topple the Kiwis to rise to the No.1 position.

Taylor last played a T20I in 2016
