Remember Zainab Abbas? The Pakistani anchor who was all over social media after the fans came out with an amusing theory following her selfie spree with top stars during the just-concluded ICC Champions Trophy. She had taken selfies with AB de Villiers and Virat Kohli and interestingly both the players were out for rare ducks in the following matches. With both the players being the best in business in limited-overs, a duck from them was totally unexpected and fans blamed the Pakistani actress for Kohli and de Villiers’ failures.
Well, that story has become a thing of the past now and Zainab Abbas has now come up with another amusing story related to the Champions Trophy final which is bound to leave the fans in splits. Fakhar Zaman, who had scored a magnificent century in the final of the Champions Trophy, gave the anchor an insight on what was going on the field when he was taking the Indian bowlers to the cleaners.
Zaman revealed that India skipper Virat Kohli was trying his best to get under his skin. However, the ploy backfired as the Pakistan opener went on to compile his maiden ODI century. But showing the true sportsmanship, Kohli applauded the left-handed batsman when he reached the three-digit score. However, when Zaman looked towards MS Dhoni, probably to draw some praise, the former India skipper, displaying his famous calm and composed character, did not react at all.
Zainab Abbas shared the hilarious story on Twitter.
“Fakhar Zaman “Kohli was trying to distract me onfield but he applauded me when I got to my 100,I looked to Dhoni but got nothing from him”?” the cricket anchor tweeted.
