In an unfortunate news, a class IV student has lost his life in a freak accident that took place on the cricket field in Kondubotlavaripalem village of Bapatla mandal in Guntur district on Thursday afternoon (April 13).
According to a report in The Times of India, the deceased has been identified as Kotharlanka Leeladhar (8). The news outlet reported that the boy died right on the spot after being hit by a cricket ball. The boy was playing with his friends at the Zilla Parishad High School ground when the mishap took place.
Leeladhar’s friends said he died after the ball struck him hard on his forehead. They further revealed Leeladhar collapsed on the ground. After seeing their friend lying on the ground and not breathing, the boys rushed to his aid and even brought a young adult for the same They even performed CPR on him but to no avail.
Later, Leeladhar was declared brought dead by doctors when he was rushed to a nearby hospital. The doctors said the injury on the forehead might have led Leeladhar to a brain dead condition which, in turn, led to his breathing to stop. The deceased was the youngest son of Kotharlanka Venkatesan, a small-time businessman.
