Top-5 Biggest Hits of IPL-8 season

The Indian Premier League 8 finished yesterday and saw some outstanding performances by various player who has done exceptionally well for their teams. It was a treat to watch out for these players who entertained thorough out the tournament.

Here we look at the Top-5 Biggest Hits of IPL-8 season –

1. David Warner

David Warner captained the Sunrisers Hyderabad side. He led from the front scoring 562 runs and was the orange cap winner. He played some great innings in the tournament and laid the foundation for the team to score big runs. Despite his team not reaching the playoffs his role for the team was brilliant as he took the charge. He needs to have some quality players next year to share the burden off himself.

2. Dwayne Bravo

Dwayne Bravo was a key member of Chennai Super Kings bowling line-up. He was the leading wicket taker with 26 wickets. He bowled brilliantly in the death overs and helped Chennai Super Kings defend small totals with his bowling. His contribution to Chennai Super Kings was crucial as his bowling helped Chennai reach the finals. He bowled very well in the finals but his efforts went in vain.

3. Lasith Malinga

Lasith Malinga, the prime bowler for Mumbai Indians, was not in great form in the first four matches of the tournament. After Mumbai Indians won their first match he looked a different bowler. He picked wickets at the start and also controlled the flow of runs. His contributions helped Mumbai Indians win the title for the second time. Lasith Malinga showed why he is best in the World despite not being at his best in the first half of the tournament.

4. Yuzvendra Chahal

Yuzvendra Chahal was the leading wicket-taker for Royal Challengers Bangalore. His leg spinners were enough to create pressure and also picked wickets. Chahal came and picked wickets whenever the team needed. He was the main man for Royal Challengers Bangalore. He has become a good spinner and has taken 23 wickets in the tournament. He made the batsmen think and create pressure by bowling dots.

5. Shreyas Iyer  

Shreyas Iyer, a 20-year old player, played exceptionally well in his 1st season of the IPL. He played for Delhi Daredevils. He scored 439 runs in 14 matches. He was named the emerging player of IPL-8. He made batting look easy. Despite Delhi Daredevils not doing well in the tournament he made sure that he has learned from the senior players and would go a long way for him to represent the country in a big way.
