Cricket is all about the value of entertainment that a set of players can produce in the course of a day by outscoring each other. Pollard who outscores almost anyone on his day is also great to watch on the field with the bat or the ball in hand and even with nothing in hand when fielding and diving all around.
However, he has also been criticized for certain things he has done on the field like throwing his bat in disgust at the RCB fast bowler Mitchell Starc in the previous season and taping his mouth during the middle of the match barely weeks ago.
Pollard defended his actions of taping the mouth saying that it was the only way to show the protest that he had against the umpires who according to him have targeted him on many occasions. Pollard said that his banter with fellow West Indian Chris Gayle in a match is something that they like to do and is a part of their game and Pollard said that the umpires stated it as sledging and asked him to stay quiet, thus the tape said Pollard.
Pollard who will turn 28 in a few days is set to spend a quite day with his wife. He also added that Bravo on any given day is a better dancer than he is. Pollard also felt that the West Indians add flair to any league because of the natural aggression and the attitude that they get into the game.
