The actor of MS Dhoni-The Untold Story Sushant Singh Rajput said that imitating Dhoni was difficult for him as he has to convince himself that he is Dhoni. Sushant also watched the footage for about 1,000 hours featuring the cricketer on the cricket ground as well off it.
Sushant said that being Dhoni fan, he was quite familiar with the cricketer’s important knocks which was marked as the most famous shot as India won the World Cup at Wankhede after 28 years.
People may think playing the role of a popular cricketer is not much difficult, but Sushant was trained by former cricketer Kiran More. Apart from him, there was a physio and an analyst. So, the whole process, according to the actor, was quite rigorous and he was put through his paces every day. He spent four months learning nuances of batting and wicket keeping.
Sushant always loves to play offbeat characters, and doing the role of a player of Dhoni’s stature, was an icing on the cake.
