Yograj Singh responds to Yuvraj’s statement
His father Yograj Singh was often involved in controversial statements during his son’s playing career. Yuvraj referred his father to as a dragon and that it was tough facing up to him. Yograj responded to the statement and said that he was a tad harsh on his son as he wanted to prove a point to people.
“I am very grateful to a son like him. I thank my son and I always tell him (Yuvraj) that I am proud of him,” Yograj told PTI over a phone call.

“….if you (Yuvraj) think I have been very harsh to you, I wanted to prove a point to the people and I hope you understand,” added the 61-year-old, who represented India in a lone Test match and six ODIs.
Yuvraj on his father and the much-needed closure
Yuvraj said that he has made peace with his father. A conversation led to the closure and it has given immense peace to Yuvraj. “I actually made peace with it a couple of days ago when I was talking about it to my father. I spoke to him, demons inside as young kid came out and that conversation happened with him and he came with his side of the story. And it was a very peaceful moment for me to have that closure and have that chat with him, because I had never had that chat with him in the last 20 years,” Yuvraj told reporters after announcing his retirement.
