Out of favour Indian all-rounder, Yusuf Pathan is definitely a big name in the Indian circuit despite not being in the national scheme of things. He is definitely one of the greatest entertainers of the game. Pathan is currently playing in the Dhaka Premier League. He will be playing for the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the upcoming edition of the IPL. It will definitely be a new experience for Yusuf given the fact he will be playing for a new franchise Sunrisers Hyderabad.
He was part of the Kolkata Knight Riders squad for the last 7 years. During a conversation with his quotes in the NDTV, he stated that he has no regrets regarding the fact that the KKR camp didn’t retain him at the auctions this year. He further added that his memories of the KKR camp will always be a happy memory for him.
“Not at all. I enjoyed my time there and I will always look back to KKR with fond memories. But it’s time to move on and I’m excited about the new challenge ahead,” Yusuf noted. When asked if the fans will get to see the swashbuckling all-rounder in his imperious best, Pathan said, “Absolutely. Every year is a new challenge, and I am preparing myself for it. I’m currently playing in the Dhaka Premier League. Hopefully this season, I will be able to come stronger.”
He hopes to do well for his new franchise Sunrisers Hyderabad. He will also have Shaakib Al Hasan in his franchise who have played for the KKR in the past. “Absolutely. Every year is a new challenge, and I am preparing myself for it. I’m currently playing in the Dhaka Premier League. Hopefully this season, I will be able to come stronger.”
“Shakib has been a good friend and he is a great all-rounder. We played together at KKR as well, so I consider him to be more of a companion than a competition. Together we will look to contribute to the success of the team,” said Yusuf.
