Finally, the ban period of David Warner and Steve Smith is on its way to end. They also recovered well from their shoulder injuries, which made things look smooth for their return to the game. But, surprisingly, Australia didn’t involve them in the squad for the series against Pakistan. Meanwhile, the former cricketer Ian Healy isn’t impressed with the call.
Smith and Warner were banned for their roles in last year’s Cape Town ball-tampering scandal. Now, they are eligible for selection again on March 29. It means that they can be called up for the fourth ODI against Pakistan.
Recently, Justin Langer revealed that he is in continuously touch with the discarded cricketers, who are all set to return this month. He added that they will head back into the game and showed his optimistic side while speaking on the performance of the duo.

I would have given them a game-time – Ian Healy
The former legendary player quoted that he would have given some game-time for the duo, which would help them involve with the team members. Further, he added that playing with the potential world cup team would have done a world of good for the team.
“I would have got them in for game time with the squad and get back on their feet at international level,” Healy said on Fox Cricket. “They’ve been pretty successful when they’ve played club level, they’re going to let them go to the IPL, so why don’t they get two internationals with a potential World Cup squad?”

Ahead of IPL 2019, Australia faces Pakistan in the first ODI in Sharjah on March 22, with the second match scheduled for two days later at the same venue. The teams will then move to Abu Dhabi for the third match on March 27, with the final two games in Dubai on March 29 and 31. On March 29th, the duo will set free to play.
Meanwhile, their return will be a stunning piece of news for their franchises. David Warner has always been a great pillar of strengths for Sunrisers Hyderabad while Steve Smith’s presence will be a great asset for the Rajasthan Royals’ franchise.
In between, Mark Taylor backed the decision of Cricket Australia. He felt that it would send a bad message if they use Pakistan series like the return of their players.
