One of the most prestigious sport in the history of makind also knows as the gentleman’s game has seen its highs and lows. Corruption has also had its say in the way the history of the game has turned out.

Ian Pont is one such guy who dreamt of seeing the game free of corruption but also had to face a tough task going against the moment and also jeopardizing his reputation.

Ian Pont was the point of allegations of attempting to fix a match in Bangladesh Premier league. Ever since, Pont has been the owner of a pace foundation in India and is also actively helping the ACU in eradicating corruption from the sport.

The 53 year old feels that his career is in trouble and that it is tainted by things he has done even if they were in the best interest of the game.

Dave Richardson, the ICC executive chief stated that the game needed people of Pont’s integrity after he showed evidence as to how matches are fixed. It was also said that the salary paid to him during the sting was a part of the fixed match. The fact that Pont had kept the money raised many doubts all across the world.

Pont who stayed silent hoping that the ICC would help him opened up for the first time and explained how the whole sting went down. He also found Jishan Choudary  of Dhaka Gladiators along with six others  guilty.

He explained how the players in the side had to be changed to get the required result and said that upon learning these, Pont wanted to go home. He explained how Peter O’Shea helped through all this. Having being an unconventional player, Pont agreed to do the sting.

Richardson hailed the contribution of Pont in catching the guilty. But all of these has made Pont a huge point of discussion in Local media.
