Joginder Sharma is the name that every Indian cricket lover will remember. He was the hero of India’s victory in the inaugural edition of the ICC T20 World Cup 2007. However, after the mega event, he faded away from the cricket world. But now he is again gaining fame for his service to fight against the deadly coronavirus. The International cricket council (ICC) shared the post where they bowed Joginder, who is now a police officer and serving the country day and night to combat the virus.
The deadly virus has halted every sports event, including cricket. It has taken the lives of more than 30,000 people worldwide while in India, the cases are rising at a rapid speed. So, to curb the expansion of COVID-19, the Indian government forced the lockdown of the entire country. The police force is working day and night so that people follow the lockdown.

Joginder Sharma a T20 World Cup hero:
In the final match of the ICC World T20 2007 against Pakistan, Indian captain MS Dhoni gave the ball to the medium-pacer Joginder even Harbhajan Singh was the option. The bowler went on to pick the wicket of dangerous Misbah-ul-Haq and handed over India a historic win.
Many feel that Dhoni handed him the ball because he did not have any option, but very few remember that Joginder had conceded only 13 runs in the three overs he had bowled before bowling the deciding over.
