- Surprise Omissions:
Imagine your best bowlers Umesh Yadav and Mohammad Shami not playing an all important final, and mind you, these two have been genuine wicket takers. (Shami still stands in the race for the quickest to 100 ODI wickets). Kohli went for the extra batsman and sacrificed raw pace for it. Playing Ashwin & Jadeja together proved fatal for Kohli as the Pak batsman toyed with them during the middle overs. A burst of fiery Yadav or Shami would have definitely provided India with a wicket taking option especially during the middle overs.
