- Hardik Pandya Run Out:
At 72-6, chasing a target of 339 runs, the trophy was all but gone. However, Hardik Pandya had different ideas. He was timing most of the balls out of the middle and deposited them 10 rows behind the boundary. He quickly raced to the fastest fifty ever (32 balls) in an ICC final & in the process smashed 6 sixes of leggie Shadab Khan. Such was his dominance that at once stage India fancied its chances of pulling off an unlikely heist. But sadly the luck eluded him & team India. He got himself in a horrible mix-up with Jadeja and got run out in the process for a quick fire 76 off just 43 balls. The young lad deserved a 100 but destiny had different plans.
India soon folded up for 158 all out & conceded the Champions Trophy to Pakistan. With this loss India failed to finish another ICC tournament on a high. Now all eyes would be on World Cup 2019 wherein India is expected to carry on its fine form and clinch an ICC title under captain Virat Kohli.
