The inspirational Bangladesh skipper recently announced his retirement from T20 Internationals. The 33-year pacer’s career has been plagued with injuries too.

He was made the Test captain in mid-2009 but in his very first match in charge, he injured his knee. When he returned the next year, he once again sustained an injury and missed the 2011 World Cup owing to another knee injury.

As a result of the consistent injuries, his last Test appearance came way back in 2009 before he hung up his boots in the longest format of the game.

But fortunately for him, the later part of his career has been injury free and he has done quite well not only as a bowler but also as the ODI captain. But by the time, the next Champions Trophy begins, he will be almost 38 and considering his tryst with injuries, it is very much likely that he will be playing his last Champions Trophy this year.
