- Jacques Kallis – 5-30 vs West Indies, 1998
The 1998 ICC Knockout till date remains South Africa’s only ICC event victory, and a major credit behind that goes to their wonder man, Jacques Kallis. The greatest all-rounder in limited overs cricket, was at his supreme best in the 1998 edition as his performances drove South Africa to glory. Playing in the all-important final of the tournament, Kallis picked up five wickets to restrict the Calypso Kings to a moderate total. The seam bowling all-rounder dismissed the danger man Carl Hooper, before getting rid of the lower order. Thanks to such a gritty bowling display, South Africa got their hands on the prestigious silverware.
