Cricket is a game of glorious uncertainties. There is no better instance than the Pakistan cricket team’s performance right now to glorify that statement. After being ridiculed, trolled and mocked for years now, the men in green, under the astute leadership of Sarfaraz Ahmed stood up to create history. The even more shocking fact is that the victory came against a top opponent like India, a team that has demolished them since the last decade. With this win, there is bound to be a massive cricketing revolution in Pakistan as this win can be termed as the most historic instance for the cricket team since that epic 1992 World Cup win. The match however, was won by the bowlers, Mohammad Amir especially, who single handedly decimated India’s elite top 3. The opening spell bowled by Amir to get rid of Rohit and Virat Kohli was among the finest pieces of fast bowling seen in recent times. All rounder Hardik Pandya did chip in with an entertaining cameo of 76 and gave India some hope. However, once he was run out, it was just a matter of time before the chips were down. Fans on Twitter were ecstatic and hailed Pakistan, and below are some of the tweets.
Congrats Pakistan on winning #CT2017 you have to be happy for the people of Pakistan who never get to watch international games at home.

It is now two years to the ICC World Cup. The preparation should begin and team selections henceforth should reflect that.
