ICC Champions Trophy 2017 – Twitter Hails Team India For Incredible Bowling Performance

South Africa did exactly what they are renowned for in multi lateral events. Make a complete mess out of a set scenario and ensure that there is some serious embarrassment to follow! The tale against India in the must win game at the Oval turned out to be an extreme anticlimax as the South African batsmen, coupled with some mind numbing stupidity literally handed India the advantage.
Electing to bowl first, skipper Virat Kohli was backed by his new ball bowlers as just 35 runs came out of the first ten overs. Once R. Ashwin was introduced though, things turned India’s way as Hashim Amla was sent back into the pavilion, courtesy of a special catch from MS Dhoni behind the stumps.
But the biggest highlight of the day so far, came in the form of two successive run outs in the middle overs. Both incidents included the same antagonist – Faf du Plessis. First, it was the prized scalp of AB de Villiers, as the batting sensation was undone by some absolute brilliance in the outfield and the ever swift hands of MS Dhoni. Then a few minutes later, Faf and David Miller found themselves at the same end, as complete chaos occurred.
All in all, the Proteas could only manage a miserable 191 on board, and were all out well before the 50 over mark. Fans on Twitter hailed the Indian side for its efforts and below are some of the tweets.
Oh no!!!

This is as complete a bowling performance as any you will see from India. And very well led, you must say, by @imVkohli
