One has to wonder from where and how on the face of this planet do Pakistan produce such match winning bowlers? Emphatic and ruthless are probably the only two adjectives which come to mind in order to describe the bowling performance of the men in green. Taking on the tournament favourites and hosts England in their own backyard, Pakistan bowled their hearts out to restrict England to an extremely mediocre total.

Now all lies upon the unpredictable Pakistani batting line-up, as the target isn’t a daunting one, and if they do get there, then the team would have unlocked something really really special. To get into the finals of this ultra grand event should be considered as an achievement in itself for Pakistan. But that is only and only if their batsmen rise to the occasion.

Hassan Ali was fantastic yet again, as he picked up three crucial wickets and kept the run flow well in check. Handed a comeback, teenage spin sensation Shadab Khan proved his class with the all important wicket of Joe Root, which changed the course of the game.
