ICC Cricket World Cup 2015: Paul Collingwood feels Peter Moores may lose his England job
Paul Collingwood, Former England skipper said Peter Moores may lose his work as England’s cricket team coach if he is inadequate to generate the desired outputs in the International Cricket Council Cricket World Cup 2015.
England faced a shameful dreadful 111 runs defeat against the co-host Australia at the ICC World Cup opener which is their 9th loss in the previous thirteen One Day Internationals (ODI).
The 38 years old Collingwood said bbc.com that in the industry they are in, it comes down to outputs.
He further added that the situations will have to change around quickly if he does not want the pressure on his own shoulders. If someone is a batsman who does not put runs on the scoreboard, or a bowler who does not get wickets, he gets dropped and it is just the same with a coach. If he does not get results, people will be looking at his position.
Paul Collingwood got 5,092 runs and took 111 wickets from 197 One Day Internationals. He is now working with the Scotland cricket team as support staff in the World Cup.
