A big prediction came from Mumbai based astrologer Greenstone Lobo as he said: “Team India won’t win the World Cup this year.” In the past, Lobo’s predictions have been excellent. He had rightly predicted the winners of 2011 and the 2015 World Cup which was won by India and Australia respectively.
On both the previous occasions, Lobo gave his prediction days before the start of the showpiece event. Recently Lobo released a book named ‘Howzat’ on Sunday which was inaugurated by Dilip Vengsarkar who was the former skipper and chief selector of the Indian team. Greenstone Lobo feels that Kohli’s birth year might come in way of India winning the World Cup. This will definitely be the biggest assignment for Virat Kohli as the skipper of the Indian team.
“Virat Kohli’s year of birth should have been 1986 or 1987 and not 1988 to feature in the top list,” said Lobo. “I called Virat’s childhood coach, Rajkumar Sharma, and explained my worry that India might not win the World Cup in 2019 if Virat was indeed born in 1988. I hoped desperately that I would get 1986 or 1987 as the real year of the Indian captain’s birth. He (Virat’s coach) remained silent for a moment before whispering a yes.”
“So, are you saying that we should change the captain to win the World Cup?” was the reply of the coach. However, Virat Kohli’s birth year is not the only reason behind India losing the World Cup as he feels India could have won the World Cup had MS Dhoni not been part of the team. He gave due respect to MS Dhoni but said that as an astrologer he feels that Dhoni’s presence might rob India the chances of winning the World Cup.

“Yes, we could have won the World Cup if the team had no Dhoni,” Lobo asserts. “I have the utmost respect for Dhoni, the batsman. However, even though I may not like it much myself, I need to speak objectively from the perspective of an Indian astrologer and I can see that Dhoni’s presence in the 2019 Indian squad could well rob India’s another great chance to win a World Cup,” he says. “Dhoni always had the kismet (luck) but now is not his waqt (time).”
Team India is regarded as one of the firm favourites for the upcoming World Cup which will be hosted in England and Wales from 30th May. Hosts England will also be one of the strong contenders for the tournament as they have played some wonderful cricket in the recent past. All in all, the new format of the World Cup will see all the 10 teams getting a chance to play against each other at least once in the round robin league.
