ICC has given clearance to the 3- match T20 series which Sachin Tendulkar and Shane Warne were planning to conduct in USA. This T20 series will be played in November. ICC, though has laid down certain rules and regulations and both Sachin and Warne have agreed to abide by them. ICC has also made it clear that it won’t offer any help regarding the infrastructure and both Sachin and Warne will have to look after it. Also, now when ICC has approved this, the promoters will surely be able to get in more players.

ICC had earlier disaffiliated the the Crcket Association of USA and has put another body to look after the cricketing developments in the country. ICC will also take a share of the profit earned by this T20 series, which it will be using for the development of cricket in USA.

The fact that the participating players have a big marketing value and have been icons of the game, will help in the promotion of the game in the country. The matches will be played on 3 different venues, with them being Wrigley Field (Chicago), Yankee Stadium (New York) and Dodger Stadium (Los Angeles).

Some of the players who have agreed to play are Rahul Dravid, Glenn McGrath, Jacques Kallis, Adam Gilchrist, Sourav Ganguly, Brian Lara, VVS Laxman and Wasim Akram.
