ICC ODI Rankings: Mujeeb Ur Rahman Attains Career High Rating

Afghanistan’s spin sensation Mujeeb Ur Rahman has attained the career-high rating. Mujeeb scalped only two wickets in the recently concluded series against Ireland which Afghanistan won 2-1.
However, the mystery spinner was highly economical as he has reached 599 rating points to move up by one place to the 23rd place in the ICC Bowler’s rankings. Thus, Mujeeb has joined England’s Liam Plunkett in the 23rd place.
Rashid Khan who scalped three wickets in the last match was able to keep his position at the second place with 755 rating points. India’s fast bowlers Jasprit Bumrah tops the tree in the bowler’s rankings with 775 rating points.
Ireland experienced bowler Tim Murtagh who scalped eight wickets in the first two matches gained two places to move to the 21st place with 603 rating points.
Ireland batsman Andrew Balbirnie was the other significant gainer in the latest ICC ODI Rankings. Andrew scored 55, 60 and 17 to be the series top runs-scorer with 132 runs. Thus, the Ireland right-handed batsman moved up by 23 places to occupy the 72nd rank in the table.
Meanwhile, Rahmat Shah who was Afghanistan highest run-getter in the series with 94 runs remains the team’s top seed player as he is on 31st rank with the career-high rating of 601 points.
However, Mohammad Nabi who completed 100 ODI appearances for the team slipped by four places as he scored only 14 runs in the three-match series. Therefore, the right-hander takes the 58th place in the batsmen rankings. Nabi scalped six wickets in the series, however, he still slipped by one position to take the 17th rank in the ICC ODI Rankings.
