The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Sunday banned West Indian spin wizard Sunil Narine with immediate effect from bowling.

The international cricket governing body after announcing the result of biomechanical bowling  test of Narine has taken the legal action.

The mystery off-spinner was reported after the West Indies’ third ODI match against Sri Lanka in Pallekele in November.

Narine will not only be banned from international but also from domestic  cricket. According to the Article 6.1  Narine’s international suspension will also be recognized and enforced by all National Cricket Federations with domestic cricket events.

ICC’ test revealed that Narine’s all deliveries exceeded the 15 degrees level of tolerance permitted under the regulation of bowling in international cricket.

Narine can play the domestic cricket events under vigil eye of West Indies Cricket Board after taking the nod from the WICB.

The player can apply for a  reassessment after rectifying his bowling action in accordance with clause 2.4 of the Regulations for the Review of Bowlers Reported with Suspected illegal Bowling Actions.

The test was conducted on Tuesday, November 17 at the ICC accredited testing centre in Loughborough University.

However, this is not the first time Narine reported for suspected actions. This year in  Indian Premier League (IPL) Narine while playing for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) was banned from bowling for his reported actions. But, he was later cleared by Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) after  giving him a final warning.

The 27-year-old offspinner won the 2012 World T20 with West Indies. Narine so far played 6 Tests, 55 ODIs and 34 T20 matches. He made his debut in 2012. He grabbed 77 ODI wickets, 40 T20 wickets and 21 Test wickets.
