Kane Williamson (New Zealand)
Kane Williamson made a brilliant comeback in red-ball cricket starting from a match-winning knock against England in the second test, where they made an epic comeback to win the match and level the series against England in their home soil.
In the two-match Test series against Sri Lanka, Williamson scored a hundred and double-hundred in the three innings he played. The century came in the first Test when New Zealand needed 285 runs to win in the final innings, where he showed excellent composure to chase down the total in the last ball of the last day in an exciting day of play.
Keeping the same form, Kane Williamson scored his 6th double century in red-ball cricket, where he scored 215 runs to post a mammoth 580 runs, which ensured Kiwis clinch an innings victory over Sri Lanka.
Shakib Al Hasan (Bangladesh)
Shakib Al Hasan was one of the bright spots for Bangladesh in the three-match ODI series against England, finishing both as the highest run-scorer and wicket-taker for the Men in Green. He was exceptional for the tigers, as Bangladesh recorded a historic 3-0 whitewash over the Men’s T20 World Champions.
In the 12 games played in March, Shakib scored 353 runs and scalped 15 wickets. Shakib was also an important part of Bangladesh’s win over Ireland on their home soil.
Asif Khan (UAE)
Asif Khan played exceptionally well for UAE during the final phase of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup League 2 and played a vital role in keeping UAE in the hunt for a direct Qualifier spot until the very last game.
In UAE’s final three games at home, Asif scored two fifties, both of which came against Nepal. After a quiet start to the series in Nepal, Asif struck an exceptional hundred with a 42-ball 101* that was laced with four boundaries and 11 maximums.
Asif Khan’s form carried over to the Qualifier Play-off where he smashed yet another century against the USA.
