New Zealand cricket player Ross Taylor Sunday emanated hope about his squad’s opportunities for the ICC World Cup 2015, having hit upon an affluent vein of shape in the build-up to the World Cup by beating sub-continental countries Sri Lanka and Pakistan.
Black Caps defeated Sri Lanka 4-2 in a 7 game series and then whitewashed Pakistan 2-0 to appear as one of the main contenders for the ICC World Cup, which they are co-hosting with Australia.
Ross Taylor was quoted as saying bynzherald.co.nz Sunday: “Everyone’s going in with a bit of form. The batters and bowlers, and the way we’ve fielded has been outstanding and got better as the series went on,” New Zealand’s final World Cup preparations start with a practice match against Zimbabwe on Monday followed by another tune-up game against South Africa Wednesday at the Hagley Oval ground.”
The experienced batsman added that his squad was tickling to get continuing with the same motion they have increased playing against Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
Ross said that to be honest it would be good to get straight into it without the practice, to be honest.
He added that the players have been playing quality cricket for a while. On 14th February, loads of hard work will have gone in and they will see how they go. He is very excited at having the ICC World Cup in their own back yard.
