Also, while promoting his movie ‘Super 30’, Roshan goes down to his memory lane to reveal interesting anecdotes regarding the cricket.
The 45-year-old Mumbaikar has praised MS Dhoni for his astute leadership qualities.

Hrithik Roshan on MS Dhoni:

Thus, he had a word of appreciation for his favourite cricketer, MS Dhoni.
“My mother and I, we like Mahendra Singh Dhoni. I feel he is a very good teacher, he is a great thinker. My mom will be very happy that I have taken his name, I think he is very inspiring, sorted and a planner,” Hrithik said during Star Sports’ Philips Hue Cricket Live show.
Interestingly, while sharing the stage with Irfan Pathan, Roshan cheered for Team India before their game against England.
However, India lost the game by 31 runs while managing 306 for five in pursuit of 338 in 50 allotted overs.
From the Wankhede stands, Roshan had already celebrated India’s World Cup win in 2011 when Dhoni’s trademark six finished the game in style. Back then, he donned India’s jersey to cheer his team.

Roshan also reminisced about India-England tie clash in the tenth edition of the World Cup. Both teams managed 338 at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru as game culminated in a thrilling tie.
“I remember I had planned to go and watch the game in the stadium but due to some last minute work I could not make it, but after finishing my work I watched the last over in my house with my family and we really enjoyed the great victory,” Roshan revealed.
Besides, he recalled his shooting days for ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’ which was released in 2002, revealed he listened running commentary alongside Shah Rukh Khan of the match, and it happened to be India-England game which India won.
Although, Virat Kohli and his men didn’t fulfil his wish, this time around.
“During ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham’, Shahrukh and I were in a car. We were hearing the commentary of a match, and co-incidence was, it was an India-England match. That match India had won, and today also India will win,” he added.
India will face Bangladesh in their eighth league stage game at Edgbaston on Tuesday (July 2).
