Team India skipper ahead of their game against Afghanistan in Southampton shared moments of joy alongside opening batsman KL Rahul with school kids during ICC’s school clinic. During the ongoing ICC World Cup 2019, the world cricket governing body has taken the initiative for the school going children to meet distinct participating teams at the quadrennial event.
On Thursday (June 20), Kohli has expressed joy in receiving kids as his ‘joy knows no bounds’. On the sidelines of the World Cup event, Kohli further asserted the significant learning curve happens to be not forgetting the content of playing gentleman’s game.
Besides, in his tweet, Kohli said the commitment and honesty lie in whatever kids ought to do.
While partaking in a gruelling net session, Indian players met school kids at the Ageas Bowl. Also, Hardik Pandya and Shikhar Dhawan‘s replacement Rishabh Pant partook in the cricket clinic which is overseen by the ICC.
Also, Kohli-led team is currently sitting at the fourth spot of the ICC World Cup points table with seven points. So far, the formidable line-up went on to win three matches apart from sharing a point each with New Zealand due to a wet outfield in Trent Bridge.
Furthermore, Kohli has enjoyed valuable time with kids. He reiterated it is heartwarming to contribute in some way for the youngsters.
