Former Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly is a man of emotions. He always gave his all for the country during his playing days. Although he retired, Sourav Ganguly still supports the Indian cricket team in the same way.

The Indian legend came down hard on what looks like Michael Vaughan on Twitter after India’s emphatic win over Australia. Vaughan has predicted Australia to win against India ahead of Sunday’s game.

However, the Men in blue were ruthless throughout the game and won the match easily at the end. A collective from both bowlers and batsmen helped India defeat defending champions with ease.

The top order was at their brilliant best for India during the game. Shikhar Dhawan scored a century against Australia while Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli made crucial contributions with the fifties. The firepower down the order was also evident for India as Hardik Pandya and MS Dhoni played quick knocks.

On the other hand, Bhuvneshwar Kumar was the stand out performer in the bowling department. He was well complemented by Jasprit Bumrah as the duo made the difference with the ball.

After the game, Sourav Ganguly’s tweet read: “His comments on Twitter is a bit like his batting meaningless and lack of ideas .. maybe just attention seeker…in the negative way”

Although, he did not clearly mention whom he was referring to. Fans in the comments section of the tweet reckon it was targeted towards Michael Vaughan. While some argue it could be Sanjay Manjrekar in the comments, the majority believe it is intended for former England captain Vaughan.

India have won two games and sit comfortably in third place in the table. But Virat Kohli‘s team face a tough match against New Zealand on Thursday.

New Zealand won their first three games against Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan.

The Blackcaps also managed to win comfortably against India in the warm-up games. Team India will be well aware of the threat posed by this talented New Zealand side. They have to once again play to their potential to continue their winning streak. On the other hand, a win against India would help New Zealand ever so close to qualifying for semi-finals.
