ICC World Cup 2019: Highest ODI Total of all the Participating Teams
ICC World Cup 2019 is barely eight days away. The teams have landed in England for the tournament to get ready for the warm-up matches. In the tournament opener hosts, England is facing off South Africa on 30th May at The Oval.
The recent matches played in England have led to the conclusion of flat, dry pitches thoroughly supporting batsmen. The matches held have seen the team registering scores of three-figure. The pitches this time are prepared by the International Cricket Council (ICC). And with every team having at least one power hitter, the fans are set to witness high scores in the event.
Here’s the list of highest ODI total made by each team so far.
Highest ODI Scores by Each Team:
England – 481/6 (Against Australia at Nottingham on June 19, 2018)
England surpassed the World Record of 444 ODI total in a match against Australia. The match was held at the Trent Bridge, Nottingham in June 2018. The English men made the World highest total of 481 runs breaking their own record in men’s one-day international.
Alex Hales scored 147 while Jonny Bairstow garnered 139 runs as England became the first team to surpass a total of 475 ODI runs.
Meanwhile, Australia had returned to score only 239 runs which marked as England’s biggest ODI win and Australia’s heaviest ODI defeat.
