It has been a sensational last few months for Mohammed Shami in his cricketing career. He made all the things fall in place to get the nod for ICC World Cup 2019. The flamboyant cricketer is India’s best bowler in the ranks for the upcoming showpiece event, which is to be played in England.

As Kohli ordered, Shami decreased his weight and started delivering the goods for the Indian National Cricket Team when it mattered the most. Within no time, he became the regular player for India and also acquired a place in the ICC World Cup 2019.

Not worried about Flat Pitches – Mohammed Shami

Speaking of the flat pitches, the fast bowler quoted that he isn’t worried about that, as he is sure that he can deliver the goods. Further, he went on to add saying that he wants to vary his line and lengths coupled with the swing, which would be an asset for him to deliver in English conditions.

“Flat pitches in England have become a batsman’s paradise in limited-overs cricket. But a bowler has to be smart enough to alter his line and length according to the conditions. I have the pace and swing to outsmart them. I am not overly worried about it. In fact, I believe the conditions are suited for my bowling. The late movement outside the off-stump will definitely come in handy,” Shami told TOI.

Shami had undergone a lot of stress because of his family problems in the recent past, HIs wife Hasin Jahan troubled him with a lot of criminal charges against him, which are still pending at the court. Speaking of the same, Shami quoted that he left all those behind him and came back stronger to perform for the team.

“My yorkers are still as potent as they used to be. I will be using a lot of them during the World Cup. I back myself to bowl fast, incoming deliveries. It wouldn’t be easy for batsmen out there to hit me,” Shami sounded a warning.”
Well, hopefully, Mohammed Shami would deliver the goods for the team. His partnership with Jasprit Bumrah is going to be vital for the team during the course of the tournament.
