Once again, it was the same result from the Indo-Pak clash in the ICC World Cup. They were thumped for the seventh time in the world cup history last Sunday at Manchester. Meanwhile, the former Pakistan fast bowler Waqar Younis feels that Pakistan is feared of the current Indian team.
The Indian team led by Virat Kohli has displayed top-class skills on the other day at Manchester against Pakistan team. They completely thrashed Pakistan in all sections of the game. They not only received 2 points from the game but also dented Pakistan’s Net-Run-Rate, which would play a key role in their journey.
There has been a massive difference – Waqar Younis
Speaking of the game, Waqar Younis quoted that there was a huge margin between the Indian team and the Pakistan team during the game. He feels that both teams are on a similar line during the ’90s. Waqar Younis believes that Pakistan is being under pressure because of being the weaker team between both.
“In the last few years, there’s been a massive difference India and Pakistan – and again it showed at Old Trafford on Sunday,” former Pakistan captain Younis wrote in a column for the International Cricket Council.
The Culture Needs to Change –
Further, the former fast bowler of Pakistan feels that Pakistan should immediately concentrate on the fitness levels of the players. He believes that it has made a massive difference between India and Pakistan on the other day.
“We had good sides in the 1990s, but now I think this India team intimidates Pakistan. When Pakistan teams head into these games, they are always under pressure and feel like they’re the weaker team,” said Younis. That culture needs to change first, and then the fitness level needs to match the Indian players.”
Well, as Waqar Younis, there was a massive difference between both the teams during the game. They need to change their fitness levels in order to make things fall in place for the team.
Currently, they are placed in the bottom half of the table while the Indian National Cricket Team are yet to lose a game in the tournament. For now, Pakistan will have a good one-week break before returning to the game again.
