Ahead of India vs Afghanistan game in Southampton, the rain has literally chased Team India led by Virat Kohli. So far, the Men in Blue have featured in four ICC World Cup 2019 matches to sit at fourth spot of the points table with seven points in their kitty. It also included a game against New Zealand which turned out to be a washout at the Trent Bridge.
The good news is that forecast for Saturday (June 22) is seen as fascinating. Also, Southampton surface is full of runs, and Team India would be keen to put up a grand show against inexperienced Afghanistan.
India unbeatable at the ICC World Cup 2019:

So far, Afghanistan has lost all its games and are languishing on the bottom of the points table.
However, it’s expected to be a full game, and again, one fails to predict English weather before the rain starts to pelt down. So far, the inclement weather has marred four matches which have been most affected games at the World Cup events.
The temperature will hover around 16-degree Celsius with winds blowing at 11 kph.
According to a weatherman, it will be mostly sunny in Southampton with hardly any chances of rain in the city.
Earlier, on Wednesday and Thursday rain has disrupted India’s net session at the Rose Bowl which further saw clear skies on Friday. Southampton will host India for its fifth game of the World Cup.
Afghanistan up for India’s challenge at the Southampton:

Recently, Team India had evaded rain following their gruelling practice session when clouds opened up. On the other side, incessant rain has marred Afghanistan’s practice session on Thursday. Thus, it also saw ground staff taking immediate steps to cover the 22-yard surface, in particular.
Also, they’ve covered the parts of the outfield to avoid dampening of a surface.
However, on June 21, India had hit nets as they’ve already witnessed a washed out game against Kiwis. Currently, India is fourth on the points table with seven points. The World No. 2 ODI team will be looking to improve on their net run-rate in a bid to leap up the points ladder apart from two easy points.
The Kohli’s-led side is one of the favourites at the World Cup.
According to a report, Tamil Nadu all-rounder Vijay Shankar has missed on a practice session later on Friday. Shankar has recently faced a blow on his toe following a searing yorker from Jasprit Bumrah.
