India faced their first loss of the tournament. The timing and impact of the loss isn’t any concern for the Indian team but the loss of India is a loss to Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, as their place in the semifinal race was at stake. Meanwhile, the politicians of Jammu and Kashmir Omar Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti reveal their opinions following the loss.
Former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Mehbooba Mufti Sunday blamed the Indian cricket team’s new orange jersey of the Indian National Cricket Team as the reason for India’s loss. Mufti said that she is superstitious in a few things and certainly, thinks in the same way for the loss of India.
India’s batting was Listless – Omar Abdullah
On the other hand, Omar Abdullah, who is the National Conference leader questioned the approach of the Indian batting. He believes that the Indian batting should have been different if they were playing the game for their own place in the semifinal.
”Call me superstitious but I’d say it’s the jersey that ended India’s winning streak in the ICC World Cup.,” Mufty tweeted.

The Indian team sported a second choice jersey for the World Cup match against England, following International Cricket Council’s home and away rule. There has been some debate in political circles with regard to the choice of orange as the dominating colour for the second jersey.
As far as Indian batting approach is concerned, a lot of experts and the former players have made serious allegations on their batting approach. However, the Indian skipper Virat Kohli and the vice-captain Rohit Sharma felt that they missed breezy cameos in the end from their middle-order.
