ToggleThe never-ending wait is finally over and the 2019 World Cup is finally here. Hosts England has already thrashed South Africa in the first encounter of the match quite convincingly. The matchup tomorrow will be between two underdogs of the tournament West Indies and Pakistan. Despite their inconsistency, both teams have the capability to beat any of the top teams on the day.
The No 9 ranked West Indies team have a strong squad to possess and their firepower has the ability to break any bowling attack on their day. The likes of Chris Gayle and Andre Russell will be the X factors for Windies and they will surely want to make a mark tomorrow when they take the field against the Men in Green.

The likes of Shai Hope will try to play the sheet anchor’s role while the likes of Shimron Hetmyer and Andre Russell will look to provide West Indies with the much-needed impetus towards the later part of the innings. Hetmyer and Shai Hope have been quite consistent with the bat for the Windies and will look to make a mark in tomorrow’s clash against Pakistan tomorrow.
The Men in Green, on the other hand, is one of the most unpredictable teams in world cricket for a long time. Pakistan has the much-needed balance and with the inclusion of Wahab Riaz and Mohammad Amir, they have got the stability in the bowling attack. The opening duo of Fakhar Zaman and Imam-ul Haq has been quite consistent in the last few years and will look to get Pakistan off to a good start.
The middle order is bolstered by the likes of Shoaib Malik who happens to be the most experienced player in world cricket and the only one from the other century to make his ODI debut. The leg spinner in the form of Shadab Khan will provide the balance to Pakistan while Imad Wasim is also one of the most promising prospects for the Men in Green.

Pakistan hasn’t been in the best of forms off late. However, their batting performance has been quite impressive. They have fallen short in their bowling department and they need to sort that out before they take the field against Pakistan in their first clash of the tournament.
Time and Location:
The 2nd World Cup match will be played at Trent Bridge in Nottingham from 3 pm IST.
Weather Report:
It is expected to be a cold day in London and should be a perfect day for cricket. The temperature is expected to hover around 15 to 22 degrees and there are no chances of rain. Hence we can expect a full 50 overs game.
Pitch Report:
It is expected to be a flat track in Nottingham and it should be a run-fest tomorrow. Over the years, the pitch in Nottingham always suits the batters and it should be the same tomorrow.
Match Prediction:
Both teams have equal chances of winning the match but given the firepower of West Indies, I will definitely go with the two-time champions to win their first clash against the Men in Green.
