Pakistan is currently facing the heat from their fans following the loss against India. In fact, they failed to perform in the ongoing tournament, which saw them standing in the bottom half of the table. Meanwhile, the former Pakistan cricketer Misbah-Ul-Haq asks fans to support the team.
There have been many trolls and memes on the team in social media. A section of people has even troubled the players by involving their families into the criticism. They also started abusing their own players, which saw the dressing room of Pakistan stay in an uncomfortable state.
Speaking of the same, Misbah-ul-Haq quoted that the fans should support the team during the dull phase. And also, added that it was the same thing, which happened to the previous teams of Pakistan as well. Misbah doesn’t want that to happen, as the support in this phase is important for Pakistan.
“It is always disappointing. It happened with me, it happened with a lot of other cricketers back home in Pakistan. And now, it’s been happening with his team. They are only letting the team and the players down. It’s a time when the team needs psychological and moral support,” the 45-year-old Misbah was quoted as saying in ESPNcricinfo.
The team need its supporters – Misbah-Ul-Haq
Further, he went on to add saying that the team needs its fans when things are going wrong. Misbah-Ul-Haq also highlighted the point that the fans enjoy the game when they win the matches, which is something the fan should remind before abusing the player.
“You are with them once they are winning, and in their difficult times, you are nowhere to be seen. You are criticising them, letting them down and it becomes tough for them to get out of that. The team needs its supporters and fans while in trouble,” a rather agitated Misbah added.
Well, as Misbah-ul-Haq said, the fans must understand that the team need fans, who understand the troubles they are facing in the game. However, Pakistan is still in the race for the spot in the final four. They need to win all the remaining games in order to give themselves a best chance,
