Pakistan batting allrounder Mohammad has vehemently denied any of the reports suggesting that groupings in mercurial Pakistan have forced players for a revolt. Hafeez while rubbishing such allegations maintained that they’re a professional bunch of people serving their country at the ongoing quadrennial event. He added they’re keen to give their best in the remainder of team’s fixtures at the ICC World Cup 2019.
The veteran cricketer has backed his teammates following a mediocre show at the ODI showpiece. The Men in Green further went on to lose their seventh encounter overall at the World Cup against India since 1992. In the recently-held high-profile clash, India has thrashed Pakistan by 89 runs on June 16 at the Old Trafford in Manchester.
Recently, the rumours surfaced soon after India-Pakistan encounter culminated in a lop-sided battle which eventually saw fans disparaging Pakistan skipper Sarfraz Ahmed for not deciding to bat first.

In reply, following a revised target of 302 in 40 overs, Pakistan managed to post 212 for six.
Amidst all, Hafeez has quashed the reports that there is a rift in Pakistan team. Hafeez reiterated whenever Pakistan end up on losing such stories come to the forth.

Pakistan’s former skipper Hafeez conceded that the team is united and they support each other in tumultuous times.
“Whenever we lose, these stories of groupings start. We beat England there were no stories of groupings, we lose to India & these stories of groupings in the squad start. We are one, we are united, we are all Pakistanis, we all care about each other,” Hafeez told in England.
In conclusion, Hafeez has admitted the fact that they haven’t played well as a unit. And, he asserted that players should take the onus on themselves to do good for the team.
“All these stories of trouble within the squad are rubbish. The reality is that we simply have not played well enough as a team & all the players need to take responsibility for this,” Hafeez concluded.
Meanwhile, with Pakistan scheduled to face South Africa on June 23 at Lord’s, they’re supposed to win crucial games in a bid to survive in the mega tourney apart from relying on other results as well in between.
