The Indian-origin net bowler Jay Kishan Plaha, who was hit by David Warner, has started walking again. The incident happened during the practice session prior to the West Indies clash on Monday (June 10).

The net bowler, Plaha got hit while bowling to Australia’s David Warner. Warner had hit Plaha on the head and knocked him down by a fierce drive. After collapsing to the ground, he got treated at the field before being taken to the hospital. At the hospital, Plaha was observed for any delayed signs of concussion. According to the reports of “Sky Sports”, however, a CT scan cleared him of any severe damage.

Plaha thanked everyone who prayed and supported him after starting to walk again following an unfortunate incident.

“Finally got my first walk in – on the road to recovery. Glad to be recovering well so far. Thank you to everyone who has supported me, thank you for all the prays (sic) around the world, means a lot to me,” said Plaha.

However, while Plaha was being treated on the ground, Warner looked pretty “shaken up” whereas Australia lost the match to India by 36 runs while chasing the score of 353 runs.

Warner scored 56 runs off 84 balls at a strike rate of 66.67. Next up Australia will be facing off Pakistan who will be trying to win their third match to climb up the points table.

Well, the match will be held at the County Ground, Taunton on June 12. Besides, so far the Australian team has won two matches to maintain the fourth spot. They will be keen to given their best against Pakistan.
