It seems like the troubles are continuing to stretch for the South African team in the ICC World Cup 2019. After three consecutive losses coupled with the injuries to their key players, now, it is the turn of Rassie Van der Dussen to hurt the team with a Groin Injury.
The flamboyant cricketer of South Africa suffered a groin injury during the game against the Indian National Cricket Team while fielding the ball. He left the field and never returned, as Aiden Markram did the service as the substitute fielder.
According to a CSA spokesperson, Van der Dussen will be monitored at training on Saturday and Sunday to gauge the seriousness of the injury.

Aiden Markram could replace Rassie van der Dussen:
South Africa would pray for his return at any cost, as he is their consistent batsman in the last three games. Every time, he stepped on to the crease, he went back by adding decent numbers to his name and for his team. So far, he registered 50, 41 and 22 runs.
Earlier, South Africa lost the services of Hashim Amla and Lungi Ngidi for the same. Dale Steyn was ruled out of the tournament as well. However, Hashim Amla recovered well to play the game against India while Lungi Ngidi is hoping to return for the game against Windies.

Well, if Rassie Van de Dussen misses the game against Windies, it would be Aiden Markram, who would retain his place in the playing XI. Meanwhile, a couple of other changes are also expected from the South African camp for the clash against Windies.
Most probably, the youngster Beauran Hendricks would get the nod for the team in place of Tabraiz Shamsi. It would be interesting to see whom Lungi Ngidi would replace if he gets fit. The good news for South Africa is the form of Kagiso Rabada and Chris Morris.
