Indian opening batsman Rohit Sharma was asked about the ongoing MS Dhoni‘s Baliddan badge controversy. However, the century scorer left a cryptic message for the media.
MS Dhoni was seen wearing wicketkeeping gloves which contained army crest. The Indian cricket fans are happy to see their former skipper paying tribute to armed forces.
However, the rage went on social media after ICC requested Dhoni to not wear the gloves. They have directed BCCI to ensure that the player does not don the same gloves again for the rest of the tournament.
Since then, many former players had been divided on the issue. The cricketing world is split into half debating whether Dhoni should be wearing the gloves or not. On the other hand, when posed about Dhoni’s glove controversy, Rohit Sharma rather remained coy.

He iterated about not knowing much about the incident. Rohit Sharma also revealed that the media should wait till Australia game, when asked if Dhoni would wear the gloves again.
“I don’t know what is happening with that (dhoni glove controversy), I have nothing to say. Maybe you’ll see tomorrow,” said Rohit Sharma.

The BCCI backed their player and urged ICC to allow Dhoni to wear the gloves. However, the issue is becoming a debatable one across media over the past couple of days. MS Dhoni was awarded the honorary rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the Parachute Regiment in 2011. He also underwent basic training with Para Brigade in 2015.
India Gear Up For Australia Clash
Meanwhile, India are set to take on Australia on Sunday. The Indian team are keen to win the game and send out a statement to other teams in the World Cup. However, India’s training session was cut short after rain played spoil sport.

On the other hand, Australia started their world cup with two wins in a row. Although, they have not clicked as a unit, Australia looks dangerous on the paper. India and Australia are title favorites. But one of them are going to lose on Sunday and drop points for the first time in the league.
