Recently, we came across the Afghanistan skipper Gulbadin Nain coming up with a hilarious statement ahead of the game against Bangladesh. However, it was Bangladesh, who had the last laugh, as they easily sealed the game. Meanwhile, the fast bowler Rubel Hossain gives it back to the Afghanistan skipper.

Speaking ahead of the clash against Bangladesh, Gulbadin Naib’s answer to a reporter tickled the funnier bone of the people present in the conference. He quoted that they have already drowned and they will make sure that Bangladesh also comes along with them for sinking.

However, the end result was different, as Shakib Al Hasan’s heroics alongside Mushfiqur Rahim’s masterful knock helped Bangladesh seal a comfortable victory against Afghanistan. Meanwhile, the fast bowler Rubel Hossain trolls the Afghanistan skipper in an epic way.

“Hum to dube hai sanam, tumko lekar dubenge (We are already drowning darling, but we’ll take you with us),” Gulbadin Naib said in the pre-match press conference.

In his tweet to Gulbadin Naib, Rubel Hossain quoted that he and all his teammates are very sorry for not joining them in such a Journey.

”@GbNaib sorry buddy we’re not interested to join you in such a journey,” Rubel Hossain’s tweet read.

Bangladesh boosted their bid to reach the Cricket World Cup semi-finals. Shakib Al Hasan’s superb all-around display inspired a 62-run win over Afghanistan. Shakib’s 51 laid the foundations for Bangladesh to score 262-7 and made him the leading run-scorer in this year’s World Cup.

Bangladesh is up to fifth place in the 10-team group stage, one point behind fourth-placed England in the race to seal a semi-final berth via a top-four finish. They need to win their remaining games in order to be in the contention for the fourth spot.

In the next assignment, they will take on the Virat Kohli-led Indian National Cricket Team. They would love to make the most of the 6-day break before the game against Indians. The loss would end their campaign in the tournament.
