Cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar who made yet another debut albeit in a different manner. This time around it was in the commentary box that Tendulkar made his debut and he felt as if he was coming out to face Pakistan in his first series back in 1989. During the half time break during the opening match of the World Cup between England and South Africa, Sachin Tendulkar was asked a few questions and he obliged as he does always.
When asked who will be the four semi-finalists in the showpiece event, Tendulkar picked India, England and Australia as the favourites to go through to the last 4. He feels that South Africa will be in contention for the last 4 but at this stage, he picked New Zealand as the favourites to be the 4th team to go through to the semi-finals.
When asked to pick a few players apart from India whom Tendulkar thinks might come a huge impact in the tournament he took the name of David Warner as the batter who might make a huge difference in the showpiece event. Tendulkar felt that the way he made a statement in the IPL makes him a totally different player and will be one of the main batters to watch out for.
Among bowlers, Tendulkar is interested to see the likes of Jofra Archer and Rashid Khan who will be two important members for their respective sides England and Afghanistan. Tendulkar feels that Rashid will be the main man for Afghanistan and the reason why there will be a few upsets through the course of the event.
Meanwhile, Jofra Archer is also an important player for England. Des[ite being eligible to play for England just in March, he has already become one of the spearheads of the English bowling attack. Tendulkar feels that the fast bowler will make a huge mark if England hopes to lift the World Cup for the first time in their lifetime.
