The campaign of Pakistan in the ICC World Cup 2019 is no less than a thriller movie with a poor climax. They started it on a poor note and then surprised one and all by dominating England cricketers in their second game. During the course, there were rumours of rifts between Imad Wasim, Sarfaraz Ahmed and the others in the side.
After winning the game against England, they looked like getting into the groove but failed to stand against the Indian National Cricket Team. That was the game, which changed the approach of the Pakistan team, as they played like champions from then on.
Meanwhile, the team has landed in Pakistan and the players like Imad Wasim and Shadab Khan attended the press conference. Speaking to the reporters, as quoted by Geo Tv, Imad Wasim said that Sarfaraz Ahmed asked the team to come good after the loss to India. He also revealed that everyone gave their suggestions.

Imad said after the loss in Manchester, Sarfaraz called a team meeting where he asked it to make a strong comeback. “All other players also gave their input in the meeting,” he was quoted as saying by geo.tv.
It was not satisfactory – Imad Wasim
Meanwhile, he disagreed to Sarfaraz Ahmed statement, who said that he doesn’t have complains after bagging 11 points from possible 18 points. In between, Imad Wasim doesn’t feel it is enough.

“In my opinion, if you don’t win the World Cup, you have to at least reach the final or semis, so this was not satisfactory,” Wasim said. Responding to a question about the game against India, the all-rounder said, “The team gave their best in the match against India but the day was not in our favour and we lost by 89 runs.”
All in all, they have returned home with a fight. They equalled the number 4 team in the points table but the net-run-rate has made them see the wrong side of things.
