Recently, we came across the Indian National Cricket Team sporting the Army Caps in the ODI clash against Australian team following the Pulwama Attack. A section of people blamed Pakistan for the attack, which might have hurt the feelings of the Sarfraz Ahmed-led Pakistan team.

Meanwhile, in the latest reports, it is learnt that the Pakistan cricket team has asked the board to allow them celebrating the wickets of the Indian team is a different way, as retaliation to their act following the Pulwama attack.

However, it is learnt from the tweet of Pakistan notable editor Saj Saddiq that the Pakistan Cricket Board has turned down the request of the team. They want the players to display their cricketing skills and seal the victory without involving in any controversy.

”Reports state that the PCB has told its players to stick to cricket. And also, turned down a request from Sarfaraz Ahmed and his team to celebrate India’s wickets ‘differently’ in retaliation to Kohli and Co. wearing army caps during an ODI against Australia in March,” Saj Saddiq tweeted.

There can be Sporadic celebrations – Ehsan Mani

The new chairman of PCB, Ehsan Mani quoted that they will not do the same what the other teams had done. He also recalled the moment when Misbah-ul-Haq did the push-ups as the tribute to the Pakistan Army following the century against England in Test format of the game.

“We will not resort to what the other party has done. There could be sporadic celebrations. In case of a hundred, like Misbah-ul Haq’s push-ups during the Lord’s Test in 2016. It was a tribute to the army, but nothing different at the fall of a wicket,” Ehsan Mani said.

Well, it would be interesting to see whether the players of Pakistan would obey the rule passed by the Pakistan board or not. The game between India and Pakistan has always been a high-profile clash. The upcoming World Cup game is going to be at the peak level as far as the intensity is concerned.
