ICC World Cup 2019: Shoaib Akhtar Asks Hassan Ali To Show Energy In World Cup Instead Of Jumping At Wagah Border
Well, Hassan Ali is having two contrasting times in his short span of International Career. In the first few seasons of his career, Hassan Ali received all kinds of accolades across the world for his brilliance with the ball. Now, he is receiving backlash from his own country. Meanwhile, the former Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Akhtar asks Hassan Ali to pull his socks up in the tournament.
Last year, when Hassan Ali was at his prime, he mocked India’s security personnel at the Wagah Border. He received criticism for the same and made all the headlines for quite a few days in the rival nations.
Meanwhile, the tables completely turned for Hassan Ali. He is failing to repeat his mojo for the team in the conditions, which are suitable for the fast bowlers. Regarding the same, the Pakistan legendary fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar criticises Hassan Ali for his poor show.
Shoaib Akhtar asks Hassan Ali regarding his energy, which he put at the Wagah Border. He wants the fast bowler to show similar energy in the ongoing ICC World Cup 2019 to help the team win the matches.
“Hasan Ali goes to Wagah Border and jumps around to show off his energy but why can he not display the same energy for Pakistan in the World Cup?” Shoaib Akhtar asked.
We lost a match which was in our favour – Shoaib Akhtar
Further, Shoaib Akhtar has also criticised Sarfaraz Ahmed for his poor captaincy. The flamboyant cricketer quoted that the current Indian skipper is clueless and Unfit to be the skipper of Pakistan.
“The match was half-won when Pakistan won the toss. But no, Ahmed sends one dimensional players to the field, there is no pace no swing nothing – and the next thing we know – we are losing a match which was in our favour to begin with,” he vented.
Well, as Shoaib Akhtar said, Pakistan got the great chance after winning the toss. Perhaps, as the fast bowler said, the Pakistan team led by Sarfaraz Ahmed has missed the trick by not picking the potential players in the team.
