South Africa and Afghanistan yet to win a match in world cup 2019.

Both South Africa and Afghanistan have struggled since the start of the world cup. Although, Afghanistan fought brave with their quality, South Africa had clearly disappointed their fans.

The team are on the brink of an exit from World Cup 2019. However, they can still set things right and make a deep run into the tournament by winning all of their remaining games. But that seems unlikely with the cricket they played so far.

Faf du Plessis and his men should take one match at a time and plan carefully to stand a chance for semi finals. They would need all their players to be fit and sharp for the next five league games. Speaking of Lungi Ngidi’s fitness, du Plessis revealed that the team management will take a call on Saturday.

“He is still doing some work, today and possibly even tomorrow,” Du Plessis confirmed in the pre-match press-conference..

“It’s a tricky one with hamstring strains, particularly with fast bowlers, to know when they are ready.

“We’ll make a decision on that tomorrow.”

South Africa are in a do or die situation in the world cup. Anything less than a win would see their hopes all but gone. The Proteas will need to play at their brilliant best to pull off a miracle in the coming matches.
