David Warner, who made a comeback to the International Cricket is already up and running for the team. The flamboyant batsman is already in the race for the man of the tournament award as well. Meanwhile, the former Australian skipper Steve Waugh feels that David Warner is yet to deliver the goods at his full flow.

After a fine team, we have got a beautiful sight of David Warner leaping in joy to punch in the air, especially, in the Australian Jersey. The flamboyant batsman had made things fall in place for the team with his brilliant display of batting against Pakistan attack in those tough batting conditions.

On the other day, David Warner smashed his 15th ODI hundred as Australia cruised towards a big total against Pakistan in a World Cup 2019 match in Taunton on Wednesday. It was Warner’s 1st hundred for Australia since the ball-tampering scandal and his second in World Cups.

Semifinals would be the occasion for David Warner – Steve Waugh

The former skipper quoted that David Warner might launch his Engine during the semifinals stage of the tournament. Steve Waugh strongly believes that the best from David Warner is yet to come.

Further, we went on to add saying that David Warner is currently playing in the second gear, something, which isn’t his game. He hoped that Warner would start using his engine at the business end of the tournament.

“What’s daunting for teams yet to face Australia is the notion that Warner hasn’t yet taken the Ferrari for a spin on the freeway,” Waugh wrote in a column for the ICC. He has been idling away in second gear waiting for the right moment to put the foot down. Perhaps the semi-finals will be the occasion to test the engine out.”

All in all, it was a stunning knock from Warner during the game against Pakistan. He answered all the critics with his brilliant striking. The flamboyant batsman would like to repeat the same for the Australian team in the upcoming few games as well.

David Warner will be back in the action when Australians take on Bangladesh cricket team on June 20th. Warner always had a good record against Bangladesh team.
