The swing master Bhuvneshwar Kumar has gone through a lot in his international career. At one stage, he was the prime fast bowler for India but the injuries have seen him stay away from the team. By the time when he returned, Jasprit Bumrah became the first-choice bowler while Mohammed Shami also improved leaps and bounds.

Bhuvneshwar’s previous visit to England is not something he will remember fondly. He aggravated a back injury which forced his tour to end prematurely. For Bhuvneshwar, 2018 was a year to forget with inconsistent performances and recurring fitness issues which saw his numbers take a massive hit.

Despite that, Bhuvneshwar Kumar never lost trust in his abilities and improved his pace and variations. Now, he is with Shami and Bumrah in the ICC World Cup 2019 playing for the Indian National Cricket Team.

However, Bhuvneshwar Kumar got very good memories in England, especially, in Lords. Speaking of the team in the ongoing World Cup, the fast bowler feels that it would be a great moment if India plays the final at the Lords on July 16th.

“I’ve been here two or three times but I always like coming back to play in England. It would mean a lot to get to go back to Lord’s for the final of the World Cup,” said Kumar. Lord’s is always a special place, not just for me but for any cricketer. I have very good memories there, so if we reach the final it will be a very big moment for not just me but for the whole team.”

We got everything – Bhuvneshwar Kumar

The Indian National Cricket Team is performing exceptionally in all conditions. They have got the best batting lineup, which is equally being backed up by the bowling department. The area for improvement is pretty low, which would certainly put them on top of the chart.

“We got everything we wanted out of the match; when it comes to batting, bowling and fielding,” he said. Chasing 350 down is a very big task,” Kumar said. “There’s always extra belief when you go to a bowl. You have the liberty to try a few things.”

Well, it would be interesting to see how things would pan out for the Indian team in the upcoming few days of the tournament. They will start their campaign by locking horns with South Africa on June 5th. It is expected to be a cracker of the contest.
